YUNG Appoints Farah Kreidieh as Editor in Chief

UAE-born media platform YUNG has appointed Farah Kreidieh as its new Editor in Chief, marking a new chapter in the independent title’s growth. Kreidieh brings more than two decades of experience across publishing, fashion and luxury in the Middle East as YUNG expands its presence across the region’s creative industries.

YUNG has appointed Farah Kreidieh as its new Editor in Chief, with the appointment taking effect in September 2026 as the UAE-born media platform enters its next phase of growth.

Kreidieh joins YUNG from Marie Claire Arabia, where she previously served as Editor in Chief. She brings more than 20 years of experience spanning publishing, fashion and luxury across the Middle East, adding extensive editorial and industry expertise to the independent UAE title.

Speaking about her appointment, Kreidieh said she was attracted to the opportunity to lead a homegrown and independent UAE publication at a time when the region’s creative identity is gaining increasing international attention.

She said she was drawn to lead “a homegrown, independent UAE title at a moment when the creative voice of this region has never felt more relevant globally.”

The appointment comes as YUNG continues to develop beyond its origins as a magazine and establish itself as a broader media and creative platform.

Founded in Dubai in 2022 by Sandra Yeghiazarian, YUNG has developed from a founder-led publication into a platform covering a range of creative fields, including fashion, music, art and culture.

The platform has also worked with both regional and international talent, reflecting its focus on connecting the UAE and wider Middle Eastern creative scene with audiences beyond the region.

Kreidieh’s appointment is expected to strengthen the publication’s editorial direction as YUNG enters what it describes as its next growth phase. Her background in leading established fashion and lifestyle media brands gives the platform an experienced editorial voice as it continues to expand its coverage and creative output.

The move also allows YUNG founder Sandra Yeghiazarian to shift her attention towards the company’s wider development and long-term growth.

Under the new structure, Yeghiazarian will focus on areas including the creation of new divisions, strategic partnerships and expansion beyond traditional publishing.

The shift reflects YUNG’s evolution from a magazine into a broader creative business, with the company looking to develop opportunities across media, culture and other areas of the creative economy.

Commenting on Kreidieh joining the company, Yeghiazarian highlighted the importance of bringing experienced editorial leadership into YUNG’s next stage.

“Bringing someone of Farah’s caliber and experience into that vision feels like a defining moment in our growth,” Yeghiazarian said.

The appointment gives YUNG an opportunity to build on the foundation established since its launch in Dubai in 2022. The platform has positioned itself around contemporary regional creativity, with its work spanning fashion, music, art and culture and featuring talent from both the UAE and international creative communities.

For Kreidieh, the new role also represents an opportunity to lead an independent regional title at a time when Middle Eastern creative industries are receiving growing global recognition.

Her previous leadership at Marie Claire Arabia adds to a career that has covered multiple aspects of publishing and luxury media in the region. Her experience is expected to contribute to YUNG’s editorial ambitions as the platform develops its identity and reaches new audiences.

YUNG’s growth also reflects the broader development of the UAE’s media and creative sectors. Dubai has increasingly become a base for regional and international companies, creatives, designers, artists and cultural organisations, creating an environment in which independent media platforms can connect local talent with international audiences.

Since its founding, YUNG has sought to operate at the intersection of media and creativity. Its coverage and collaborations across fashion, music, art and culture have allowed the platform to work with a diverse range of creative voices.

With Kreidieh assuming the Editor in Chief position, editorial leadership will now sit alongside Yeghiazarian’s focus on business development and expansion. This division of responsibilities could allow the company to pursue new opportunities while maintaining a dedicated editorial direction.

The appointment takes effect in September 2026.

As YUNG moves into its next stage, the company’s focus will extend beyond publishing, with new divisions, strategic partnerships and broader expansion forming part of its growth strategy. Kreidieh’s arrival marks an important step in that transition and places an experienced regional media executive at the centre of the platform’s editorial operations.

The appointment also reinforces YUNG’s positioning as a homegrown UAE platform with ambitions that extend beyond the local market. By continuing to work with regional and international talent, the company aims to reflect the evolving creative landscape of the Middle East while building a wider international presence.

For the UAE’s creative community, Kreidieh’s appointment comes at a time of increasing interest in the region’s fashion, culture, art and media industries. Her experience across these sectors could help YUNG strengthen its editorial offering while supporting its broader ambitions as a creative platform.

YUNG was founded by Sandra Yeghiazarian in Dubai in 2022 and has since grown from a founder-led magazine into a wider media and creative platform. With Farah Kreidieh now taking charge of editorial leadership, the company is entering its next phase with a structure designed to support both editorial development and business expansion.

The appointment is therefore more than a change in editorial leadership. It represents a strategic step in YUNG’s evolution as the company seeks to expand its divisions, establish new partnerships and grow beyond its original publishing model.

Kreidieh’s extensive experience in Middle Eastern publishing, fashion and luxury, combined with Yeghiazarian’s continued focus on the company’s broader growth, will shape YUNG’s direction as it moves forward.

With the appointment effective this September, the platform is now positioned to build on its existing work while exploring new opportunities across the region’s rapidly developing creative landscape.
